You're not the only one and it's happening in several West African countries, especially Nigeria too. It's sad because the amount of potential Africa as a continent has, furthermore, Africa as a continent should be a powerhouse but the leaders sold it for pennies and self-enrichment. It's why many of us don't want to put our money there. I'm one of them who bought a land and was basically scammed, spent years fighting it, the currency devalued to the point where I lost at least 70% of what I paid. The messed up part is, this doesn't seem to be happening to anyone else but black people from US, UK and similar places. But they'll happily let Asians and Europeans do whatever they want to do and take everything. It's unfortunate.

"Only in Ghana, men ..." No Rush, this doesn't only happen in Ghana. People do crazy things anywhere. I'm dealing with a case where someone who has absolutely no case against a friend, in a business dispute which is already adjudicated in court, wouldn't go away quietly and actually sent two guys to her door to threaten her life. And this is happening in the US. She currently has a restraining order but you can imagine the fear and anxiety she lives with now.

Take care of him before he does something crazy to you. Get him arrested if the cameras got him as he was questioning the workers.

One of my projects is in court for the same reason, some guy popped up out of nowhere claiming my building is on his land...after months, his case was thrown out of court because he had zero evidence and I had absolute proof....However, he appealed and the final (hopefully) hearing will be in November. There is an apartment building around the corner from my building where work has stopped all because of this same guy making false claims...he hopes we will pay him out of court to avoid the hassle...such a shame.

Glad you got your land back bruv. From your explanation, it looks like an extortion attempt in collusion with the local police. This shouldn't even have made it to court, if the police did their job. It's a scam, an attempt to pay him off rather than incur legal costs, time and other costs. 2 years of this rubbish. I know this road quite well as I used it from Tema to Akuse. I was doing drainage works for Banana farms/Golden exotics I'll patronise soon.
